We will not always agree. We can still listen.
Robbinsville is strengthened by the many people who call it home, and by their willingness to hear each other out.
Who Robbinsville actually is
Robbinsville is strengthened by the families, neighborhoods, organizations, businesses, faith communities, volunteers, first responders, educators and public servants who call it home. That is not a list assembled to flatter anyone. It is a fair description of who does the work here.
Disagreement is not the problem
We will not always agree on every issue, and a town where everyone agreed would be a town where most people had stopped paying attention.
What matters is what happens next. We can still listen to one another, treat each other with respect, and work toward what is best for the community we share. A resident who opposed something I voted for is still my constituent the following morning, and is owed the same answer to their question as anyone else.
Why I think about it this way
Public service, to me, has never been about one person. It is about people working together, and about giving credit to the residents, volunteers, professionals, Township employees and community organizations who make Robbinsville what it is.

That principle has guided much of my life. It is a reminder that service has its greatest meaning when it improves the lives of other people, which is a harder test than simply being busy.
