Robbinsville is home
I have called Robbinsville home since 2020. It is where my family lives, where I run a business, and where I have had the privilege of serving our community.
I am a co-founder of Ganga Indian Restaurant at Main Street Commons in Town Center. Running a small business in the town you live in teaches you things that no briefing can. You learn what it takes to make payroll. You learn how a rule written with good intentions lands on the person who has to follow it. And you learn that your customers are also your neighbors, which changes how you answer a complaint.
What I do for a living
I am a pharmacist by education, and I work professionally auditing research and development processes in the pharmaceutical industry.
That work is not glamorous and it does not make for a good slogan, but it is the most useful thing I bring to Township Hall. My job is to establish whether an organization actually does what it says it does. It has made me slow to accept a summary, and unwilling to sign off on something I do not understand.
Service came first
I did not start serving Robbinsville when I got a title.
In 2021 I was appointed to the Township Zoning Board, weighing variance requests against the neighborhoods around them. In 2022 I moved to the Planning Board, reviewing site plans and subdivisions against the township’s master plan. From 2023 through 2026 I served on the combined Land Use Board, and as the Mayor’s representative on redevelopment planning.
Beyond Town Hall, I serve on the Mercer County Workforce Development Board and with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.
Poland, March 2022
I am a longtime volunteer with BAPS Charities and with the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir here in Robbinsville. In March 2022 I was one of four New Jersey volunteers who flew to the Poland–Ukraine border to help families fleeing the war, and we kept the effort going at home afterwards by organizing drives for essential supplies. Mayor Dave Fried publicly commended the team for that work.
I mention it because people ask, and because it happened four years before I was a candidate for anything. I would rather it be read that way than as a credential.
Joining Council
In January 2026, when Council President Mike Todd became Mayor, his seat opened. Eleven residents applied. I was the governing body’s unanimous choice, and I was sworn in on February 12, 2026.
I serve as Council Liaison to the Historic Preservation Committee, and as one of the governing body’s representatives to Robbinsville Public Schools.
Why I do this
Public service, to me, has never been about one person. It is about people working together, and about giving credit to the residents, volunteers, professionals, Township employees and community organizations who actually make Robbinsville what it is.
In the Joy of Others, Lies Our Own.
That principle has guided much of my life. It is a reminder that service means the most when it improves someone else’s life, which is a harder test than simply being busy.
